Campaign Story

We are a married couple that have been together for 18 wonderful years and always had in our plans to extend our family by having children. We experienced many different challenges throughout the years but with love, perseverance, care and dedication we overcame them all. However, we are now facing one that we never expected, but with your kind help, we hope we can triumph over this new challenge too.

We have been trying to conceive naturally for many years unsuccessfully, but now we are faced with the harsh reality that we don’t have any more biological time left to keep trying and hoping it happens the old-fashioned way. We both have done all the necessary fertility testing and, besides age now, everything else seems normal, so the only hope left for us of ever having a child of our own is IVF. Now, on top of the physical and emotional toll and stress of endless blood work, appointments, testing, injections and uncertainty about the future, we have the added challenge of the immense cost of IVF and unfortunately our insurance has zero coverage for anything related to IVF.

It’s not easy for us to ask for help. We feel that we have already failed in having to ask for financial help. Knowing that there is medical technology available to help couples like us but the treatment is very costly and not covered by insurance is incredibly disheartening, and the realization that money, for some people, can be the difference between having children or not is really heart wrenching., but we believe in the kindness and understanding of the community, specially of people that are more fortunate than us or that have also previously benefited from the generosity of other people.
